[englisch/amerikanisch, 'juːnɪənsɔȖ], Bezeichnung für die Lieder der amerikanischen Gewerkschaftsbewegung (von Trade Union = »Gewerkschaft«), die die Arbeiter zum Eintritt in die Gewerkschaften aufforderten. So begannen mit der Herausbildung einer organisierten Gewerkschaftsbewegung in den USA Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts, Kampflieder der Arbeiterklasse eine große Rolle zu spielen. Als eines der ersten Lieder dieser Art gilt »Storm the Fort, Ye Knights of Labor«, das in den Reihen der Knights of Labor entstand, einem der ersten nordamerikanischen Gewerkschaftsverbände mit Massenbasis. In den Dreißiger- und Vierzigerjahren wurden viele dieser Lieder vor allem von Woody Guthrie (1912-1967) zu neuem Leben erweckt. Eine Sonderform sind die Streiks begleitenden Strikeballads, von denen einige zu Symbolen der amerikanischen Gewerkschaftsbewegung wurden, z. B. »Which Side Are You On?« (Almanac Singers, 1948).
